Ian is a lead commentator for BT Sport's coverage of Premier League, Champions League and Europa League football. He also covers US national team fixtures and international tournaments for ESPN USA. He began his career at BBC Radio working on athletics, boxing and football and moved to Sky Sports in 1992 where he was the main commentator on the innovative and award-winning Monday Night Football. In 1995 Ian became Sky’s voice of boxing and spent the next 10 years covering the major fights on Big Fight Live. In 2005 Ian returned to football commentary as part of Sky's "Big Four" commentary team on Premier League, Football League and Champions League matches before spending three years covering the Premier League and USA internationals for ESPN USA.
