Mel studied drama at Reading University and during the vacations worked as a Runner for Teddington Studios on shows including Pop Idol, Today With Des and Mel and Kilroy. After graduating Mel joined Townhouse TV as an Audience Researcher for The Trisha Goddard Show and progressed to become Assistant Floor Manager. In 2006 she moved to Evans Woolfe to work as a Production Co-ordinator before joining JMM in 2007.
